New Years Day
On New Year's Day, the girls and I went for a run.
To honor the year ending in numeral eight, we ran eight miles in the Payette Forest.
The snowmobiles had packed down the snow sufficiently for us to run on the forest road. The girls had an easier time than I did - I felt as though I was running uphill in deep sand. But the sun was shining, it was 2F (yup, you read that correctly; it was COLD), and we had a blast, especially on the return downhill.
I didn't take my camera, but this photo taken two mornings later gives an idea of the views we enjoyed New Years Day. It was a grand way for the girls and I to usher in the new year.
