Easily Amused
As it is with children, so it is with dogs: sometimes the best toys are the cheapest.
Or, in this case, free.
Icicles.
There's quite a bit of snow on the roof. Heat from inside the house, or an increase in outdoor temperatures, will cause the snow to melt slowly, forming icicles. In some cases, huge icicles. They look like translucent daggers, hanging off the edge of the house, waiting for an unsuspecting victim.
In the areas where the girls - or I - might have to walk, I knock them off with a broom handle.
In these photos, Meadow started playing with, then chewing on, a piece of one of the larger ones I knocked off. Maia will chew on them, too.
