Dust Devils
Photographic proof - as best I can do with my little Olympus digital - of the trail dust two big dogs can create.
These photos were taken Friday on Grass Mountain Lakes trail, on our way back down to the trail head. The whitish haze laying low on the horizon is the smoke that's choking the air of Idaho. This day was actually clearer than most. I didn't smell any smoke while running.
Idaho now has more land on fire than any other state. On still days when the smoke is thick and hovering like a bad head cold, I wouldn't be able to see the far side of this little valley. This day's run was an unexpected treat.
