Crickets get in your hair
After arriving at Grass Mountain Lakes Friday morning, drinking and cooling off toes and legs (the girls, not me), we started back toward the trail head. A gorgeous, small meadow full of lupine beside the trail was too alluring to ignore. We stopped. It was in the shade on an already too warm morning, so the girls quickly got comfy. I took off their vests and started taking photos.
I concentrated on Maia for a bit, then turned to Meadow, only to see her hosting some crickets on her hip. Her woolly fur is so thick, I'm sure she never felt them there.
