Separation Anxiety
From the moment I brought Finn home, he has shown pretty severe separation anxiety. If I'm out of sight, he paces and whines and stresses. I can be gone a minute, or several hours; the reception upon my return is the same - utter out-of-his-mind-delight that I'm BACK! She came back!!
Separation anxiety in a dog is a challenge.
Whenever Finn and I go to Cougar Mountain for a run, I make use of the port-a-potties before we start our run. I've tried to leave Finn outside while I do my business, but he becomes so stressed that I started bringing him in with me, as this photo illustrates. Talk about a tight squeeze! I'm thankful for the trail heads with handicap-accessible port-a-potties, which have much more room for Finn and my feet!
