Grand Ridge

On January 12th I took all three dogs for an exploration of the Grand Ridge trails. We started on an old railroad grade. This was the first time Maia and Meadow had been able to wander freely off leash in the woods since our arrival.

Lots of new smells. They've always loved exploring.

Once we got onto the trail and under the trees, the light was so poor I needed to use a flash!
This section of forest is truly beautiful.

A stream. Plenty of water here. And a culvert for Maia to investigate.

Ferns. Love 'em. Almost tropical in feel.

All of us had a wonderful, peaceful couple of hours in the forest.
