Green or White
We're on the edge of two seasons.
The girls and I can start a hike or run on ground newly green with grass and wildflowers, and within minutes, traverse old, compacted, dirty, and quickly melting snow.
Such was the case today. We ventured into the forest behind the house. The first photo was taken just inside the forest boundary, where the snow has left and the grass is fast replacing it.
The second photo was taken a half mile up this road. It's an area we frequently go for evening walks in the summer. Because of its shade and a creek running nearby, it remains cool. Which explains why the snow has yet to melt away here.
