Flowers - finally

On Tuesday's hike I noticed some early wildflowers finally poking through the ground.

These yellow flowers are the first to appear at this elevation (between 4000-6000 ft), in this part of the forest. I think they're some sort of lily. I can't find them in my old Mountain Wildflowers of Idaho book.

As you can see, in the photo with the girls, the ground here is very rocky, which apparently these flowers like.
