Noses
The ability of the girls to find things buried under the snow never ceases to amaze me.
They regularly locate old bones and toys buried under several inches of new snow. They expose them so they're easy to find until the next big dump of white stuff.
Maia particularly likes to try to locate living things under the snow. Like mice, and voles. (I wish she's get more of the mice. I've been having issues with mice getting into my garage, pooping in my winter boots, even getting into my car glove box and shredding TP kept in a baggie for emergencies.)
In this series of photos, Maia was certain something was moving under the snow. Meadow noticed Maia's intense interest, and went to help. They never did find anything. They work well as a team, but sometimes Maia considers Meadow more hindrance than help.
